IMPORTANT POLL!!!

This is either my neighbor's car horn chirping as he locks and unlocks his door remotely, or it is the first note of the William Tell Overture.

Sound file (MP3, 12k, so OK to stream :D)

Listen, and then go vote on the poll:

Apropos of nothing, I just got your BPAL package. OMG shirtless Sanzo card and cute cute Naruto bookmark! Also smelly things. Thank you so much!

XD You're welcome!

I partially cheated. WMV displayed a title that gave it away.

Unless I edited it to throw the voting. Betcha didn't think of that, HUH? XD

Mmm, falafel...

But but but... is it a live octopus that I would be responsible for keeping alive and in good health, or is a dead, cleaned, food-grade octopus served to me on a plate or in sushi? How big is the octopus? What rights and responsibilities am I implicitly accepting by choosing the octopus?

Mmm, Sanzo...

[identity profile] telophase.livejournal.com 2005-11-22 10:23 pm (UTC)(link)
Your choice! XD

Sanzo always seems to be a popular option, which is why he wasn't a choice on the octopus question. XD

I figure either the car is in a building with great acoustics, or its the William Tell Overture. The problem is...I start trying to hum the William Tell Overture and I go straight into Flight of the Valkyries. And my house is way too dirty for that.

Always difficult to judge a sound when someone's freaking car alarms keeps going off....*sigh*

Yes, I am that geeky. Or sad. Sad works.

Most car horns are G. While William Tell is in the key of G, the first note is a D. Not that it's set in stone or anything.

Damn. Well, my justification was supposed to be "Telophase = <3", but stupid LJ had to interpret it as HTML. Rawr.

And this is the best poll. Like, ever. xD

[identity profile] telophase.livejournal.com 2005-11-23 02:48 am (UTC)(link)
I dunno, I sort of appreciated the Zen-ness of the original "Telophase = " XD

[identity profile] chaoticvein.livejournal.com 2005-11-23 02:58 am (UTC)(link)
Ugh, normally I would have found that really amusing, except that I had to write an essay on Buddhism today, and it sort of killed my brain. >______<;;

AND THEN [livejournal.com profile] chaoticvein WAS ENLIGHTENED.

....

[recovers from hysterical laughter]

Oh my. That made my week.

[identity profile] tprjones.livejournal.com 2005-11-23 10:43 am (UTC)(link)
That's not just the first note, it's the first dozen notes isn't it?
