I have succumbed to the Tumblr (and Discord) trend of making a list of books that were foundational to me, so you can see how many you've read. Or not. I'm not your boss.

It's got a lot of kids and YA books, as that's when I encountered them. I could have put a lot more on there, and for me if there's a book 1, it's probably representative of the full series. You can decide how you want to check it off--have you read the whole book, did you DNF it, whatever.

Wow, you had so many on the first page that I've never even heard of, I thought it was going to be my worst list yet. But then things kicked in, and I ended up with 45, which is actually my highest book overlap so far!

I sorted them from least popular to most, which probably accounts for that. :D I'm impressed with 45, as my reading history is so eclectic--part of a childhood in East Africa, which means we had a lot of British kids' lit, plus my mom was a children's librarian for a few years when I was very young, so she got me (and checked out for me) a wide variety of books.

Looking at the list, I can see the origins of my love for anthropology, folklore, and weird numinous fantasy. XD

22, and I'm very gratified to see so many kids and YA books, since I felt they were missing on others' lists. I'm in the middle of compiling my lists (before vs after Usenet/Internet), and I'm not sure I'd ever finish, so I should probably just call it a day and put up what I have.

Reading was SUCH a huge part of my childhood and teen years, there was no way they wouldn't be part of what made me who I am! :D
