It's often fun to be able to overhear people talking in Mandarin when they don't think anyone else understands.

Also, once I had two friends who, when they walked near people or vice versa, would say random outrageous shit to make the people do double takes. I don't know how successful they were at making the other people think they were seriously talking about whatever they were pretending to.
