Haven't put the birdcam out for a few days as it's been raining. I also have had an intractable tension headache for several days--I thought it was a migraine at first but it hadn't been following my usual migraine pattern, and consultation with my doctor over email produced that diagnosis. So I have instructions to keep taking Excedrin, as that beats back the pain by 90% or so for a while, and muscle relaxants, and to sit against a heating pad, and if nothing changes by next week, come in.
Anyway, here's a few pics from...Saturday? Sunday? morning. I left the birdcam out overnight to see who it would catch in the early hours, and we had a bit of a surprise. XD
And here it is! Check the porch in the background of these two.

We'd seen a dead possum in the road a few weeks back, and were worried it was the local one that visited us last year, but apparently not?
Anyway, here's Zeus. Still no Hera. :(

And more house finches. There's at least two males visiting us, as this one isn't as brightly colored as the previous one.

DRAMATIC DOVE

And suspicious dove.

Toby bought Far Cry 5 today, and is now happily sneaking around the woods of Montana braining cult members with a lead pipe and giggling.

You know - inspired by you, I peeked under the tree in front of my bedroom windows, and there was a mourning dove! And a robin, looking a little lost. And I was sure, because it could have been your dove's long-lost sibling. They were looking at me, and I was looking at them. Them, me, me, them. Frankly, not a whole lot going on beyond that, and I had to get ready for work, so I bid them adios.
But I'm enjoying all the nature outside.

We have SO MANY doves. I'm hoping to one day get a pic of the wren that occasionally drops by, but no luck so far!
