Oh I totally agree you're getting prettier scenery going there and more beautiful historic buildings, too (a lot after all was destroyed over here in 2nd World War).

It was more of a 'if plans change for some reason, nefarious or other, there's a long-time reader roughly in an area near there - southernish Bavaria (not near the alps, but near the beginnings of the Danube)' reminder :D

With a week's warning I could probably host you in my flat's living room couch-that-can-be-turned into a double bed. If you'd stayed in a hotel, I wouldn't even need a week's warning :D
