BPAL review: Miskatonic University
Just so those of you who don't read these know, BPAL is perfume oil from the Black Phoenix Alchemy Lab, and there's a huge fandom surrounding it and buying, swapping, and testing sample vials of them.
Miskatonic University
BPAL description: From the limited edition Springtime in Arkham collection. A venerable New England university, whose vast library holds many rare, diabolical and obscure arcane works, including one of the few surviving legitimate copies of the Necronomicon. Home to innumerable scholars of the esoteric and the occult, and the notorious Dr. Herbert West. The scent of Irish coffee, dusty tomes and polished oakwood halls. (Gender neutral)
In vial: A very mellow coffee.
Wet: The coffee is fading, and a sort of nutty smell is coming out now.
Dry: The nutty smell is starting to go into a bit of a lotion-y smell, which eventually morphs into a sort of nutty vanilla.
Notes: Sent me by
inkspirit, who said it reminded her of libraries. Cat has no reaction other than irritation that I woke her up, and is now bathing herself in indignation. Anyway, smells nice. Not sure I'm going to haunt eBay for a bottle, but I'll keep what's left of the imp after I decanted some for
bpggle. I'm getting less library and more Starbucks, but since a coffee bar is pretty much a fixture in most libraries now, those tho things really aren't mutually exclusive.
