Ref desk blues
At the Ref desk again, all day today, thus poking about online. I've discovered Panhandling Worldwide, which is the blog of a comedian who is trying to answer the burning questions of "Will people give money to a man in a banana suit?" and "Does every sign have to say God Bless?" (He also seems to be filming a documentary.)
My favorite entry so far is when he debates putting haiku on his sign and commenters chime in with some good ones:
My other sign is
a Shakespearean sonnet
printed on plastic
"May I have some change?"
asked Eshun. Said the master,
"Change comes from within."
Anyway, if any of you have the misfortune to be stuck inside reading Livejournal on a Saturday, then you are MORALLY OBLIGATED TO ENTERTAIN ME SOMEHOW.
