I remember at one point trying to explore some Dwemer ruins with Lydia. After something like the 6th time she managed to set off the same flame trap by running back and forth over the very obvious floor button I told her to go guard the entrance (or maybe it was just a "safe" spot I knew I'd come back to. It was a long time ago). Dwarven crafts are decent little money makers, but they weigh a ton and I couldn't risk my personal haul-, err... I mean my trusted companion, coming to an untimely end!
