Spooky

BPAL description: A limited edition scent. A maddeningly festive blend of warm, buttery rum, cocoa, coconut, vanilla and a jolt of peppermint. It’s a sweet, decadent, slightly silly scent, reminicent of rum-laced holiday cookies.

In vial: Peppermint. A faintly buttery peppermint.

Wet: Peppermint, but not quite as sharp. A sort of faintly cookie smell emerges.

Dry: Can smell the coconut and a hint of vanilla, but the peppermint is still hanging around in the background and transforming it into something not-so-nice.

Notes: I won this one on eBay the day before Hurricane Katrina hit and the seller was in Louisiana, so it took a while to get to me. :D Cat sniffed my Spooky-laden finger with interest for a while, than appeared to decide something and promptly lost all interest whatsoever. Verdict: not for me. I might like it without the mint, but the mint is making me faintly naseated. *sigh* Later: Now I'm getting a bit of a headache. Ah well.

Yeah. I'd completely forgotten that a lot of mint scents make me kind of sick to my stomach, although fresh mint doesn't. There's just something cloying about it.

I liked it, too; I passed it on to a friend, but it was very nice.

Skin chemistry is so weird! That's one of the things I love about BPAL, despite mystery soap. I'm starting to think of powder as good.

I kinda like the powders; they're certainly not an automatic no for me, and a few soaps aren't bad. I haven't had too many soapy and powdery scents, though. And Thunderbird is proving that laundry isn't horribly bad, either, although I'm not going to bother finding a bottle.

I think it's how these things all change and mutate from person to person that is so fascinating. I want to drive down to San Antonio to sniff Hellfire on bpggle and see how it changes into something reasonably nice on him from ACK NO on me. XD

Speaking of which, I'm sending out the decant of Numb on Monday. It's very powdery with the slightest hint of what I think is violet. :)

Sure! I think the bottle has about 3 imps' worth total in it, so there's plenty to go around and it's not like I want to wear it. :)
