aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa

I have counted at least 23 mosquito bites on me. 14 of those are on one leg.

On Saturday we went over to the new house of my brother-in-law and his girlfriend to help them and Toby's parents lay sod and do other work in the backyard. Twice, I saw mosquitos on me, but didn't realize how bad it was until this morning. (I did put mosquito repellant on, but not until after I saw the Mosquitos...oops.)

Driving me crazy, of course. I think I may resort to Zyrtec tonight, even though it knocks me out and makes me fuzzy-headed the day after I take it.

My legs remind me of the way they were when we lived in Tanzania. I was always eaten up with bug bites, and you can still see the faint network of scars on my skin from it.

The topical anesthetic type things, like Bactine, can be helpful in stopping bug bits from being maddening. I like Corticool a lot too.

I know that feel.

When my brother-in-law got married, the ceremony was outdoors and the reception was in a tent. I shot a little video of the reception. The video looks as if it's on an old television channel with bad reception, but it's not "snow," it's mosquitoes. The next day I had so many bites I ended up going to an urgent-care clinic for a steroid injection.

Ahhh, mosquitoes. I have marks on my arms and legs from then that are finally faded away. Now here, we've got a lot more fire ants than New Orleans had. Hmm. If you can, I'd try to find Caladryl, the calamine lotion with Benadryl in it? Great stuff; my poor mom coated our arms and legs with it after play for most of our summers growing up, because apparently we were tasty^^ You have to let it dry, and er, sit on a towel or something so the happy pink doesn't get everywhere, but you feel better afterwards? It's been a while, so I'm not sure if you can take antihistamines orally while you have it on, but possibly so?

I've got some Cortizone-10, which I've been dabbing on myself periodically. And took Zyrtec Sunday night, which meant I spent Monday totally doped up and without much volition. (Zyrtec is the med that works the best on any allergy symptoms I have, but knocks me the hell out!)

And I recounted: I got 30 bites. :/

Yikes! That's a serious attack!

I've got some Cortizone-10 that I've been dabbing on, which seems to be doing the trick.
