Wind chill values have climbed up above zero...therefore the
advisory will be allowed to expire.
This is MARCH 3RD in TEXAS. It was 18°F on my drive in, with a wind chill of MINUS TEN.

And I have no idea why others aren't wearing winter coats out there: is it that it's spring and therefore we must wear our spring clothing? There are too many students wandering around in hoodies and nothing heavier outside. This is a rather affluent school; I doubt the reason for the hoodies is that that many students can't afford winter coats. And given the sleet we had yesterday, there's no excuse for not knowing that it's cold when flying out the door on the way to class.

Teenagers. My boy doesn't wear a coat, boots, or gloves unless he's going skiing. Young metabolism + hyperinflated importance of looking cool. Won't save him from frostbite, I keep telling him, but what do I know, I'm old.

Heck, I've seen people in Minneapolis walking around in shirtsleeves -- in temperatures a bit below zero.
