Wheeeeee!
Got my combined birthday/Christmas gift way early today: an iPad Air (because Toby apparently wanted to wake up at 2AM and order as soon as they were released for sale). I used FaceTime to call Mom, and ... I can make a VIDEO CALL to my MOM in another part of the STATE while I am WALKING AROUND THE HOUSE. The original Star Trek couldn't even do that!*
I AM LIVING IN THE FUTURE.
We're going to see Radiolab Live tonight--I telecommuted today because it makes it easier for us to leave here and get to the theatre (well, to get to a restaurant first, then the theatre) without me taking time off of work to drive home first.
Anyway. FUTURE.
