I was linked to this hilarious recap of Pacific Rim, and this line made me giggle:

[Hannibal] Chau asks if Geiszler likes the name (from Chau’s favorite historical character and second-favorite Sichuan restaurant).

Going by that criteria, my Hannibal Chau name is Hatshepsut Super Buffet. sigh.

Let's change that a wee bit: your Unsavory Kajiu Dealer Name is your favorite historical character and the name of your second-favorite restaurant--no particular type of restaurant required. What is it? (I have to think on mine a bit; will put it in the comments.)

(My favorite restaurant is Gaido's in Galveston, based on happy nostalgic 20-year-old memories!)

Second favorite is really hard. I could say that Bonnell's Fine Texas Cuisine is my favorite, due to a combo of hometown pride and admiration of the food, but I'm not sure of my next-favorite. If we go by number of times I eat it, it would be Raising Cane's Chicken Fingers, if we go by number of times I think about eating it, it might be Charlie's Old Fashion Hamburgers (mostly because it's on the drive home and I really like their fried mushrooms). Or it could be Lucile's Stateside Bistro on the strength of their lobster bisque.

I'm not even sure I currently have a favorite historical character!

But yeah, I hear you on 2nd-favorite restaurants! I like Raising Cane's too.

I was obsessed with highwaymen, especially Dick Turpin, in highschool. I have no idea why, really, and it was the romantic, literary image I was obsessed with, although I did read historical accounts quite a lot. It wasn't until I was older that I really, truly realized they were thugs for the most part.

But Dick Turpin Raising Cane's seems an odd kaiju dealer name! (Although Dick Raising Cane's suggests a specific sort of kaiju-based pharmaceuticals...)

I fiddled with this one a bit because it's too hard to pin down a specific favorite historical character; I wound up picking one of my favorite historical badasses instead. And moved the restaurant to the first position, because Blackstrap Ching or Blackstrip Shih both sound more like a black market kingpin name. Plus, historical lady pirates for the win, yo.
