BPAL review: Le Serpent Qui Danse
Le Serpent Qui Danse
BPAL description: From the Love Potions collection. A sinister, darkly seductive scent inspired by poetry of Charles Baudelaire. Violet entwined with vanilla and gardenia.
In vial: Intensely floral, but not cloying.
Wet: The florals are going deeper now - can't pick anything specific out, but it's not especially floral anymore.
Dry: The vanilla's coming out a bit more -it's working nicely, but the florals are sort of an off note on me. (a bit later) A nice powdery vanilla scent, but still with those few bits of the florals that I don't like as much.
Notes: The cat is getting really tired of me shoving my hand in her face. Anyway, the scent pretty much turns into a warm softly floral-scented powder. Which I wouldn't mind except that I don't especially like the florals. The vanilla's providing a nice warm counterpoint to it, but it's not good enough to overcome the flowers. But at least I don't have the GET IT OFF ME reaction of other things today, and it's not triggering my allergies.
