BPAL review: Hellcat

Tried Hellcat last night, but got too caught up in what I was doing to post the review.

Hellcat

BPAL description: From the Diabolus collection. A soft, sensual, luxuriant blend with a wicked bite: hazelnut, buttercream, honey mead, rum and sweet almond.

I think I was hungry when I ordered it.

In vial: Butterscotch. Amaretto. This smells like the sort of drink I would like. A lot. I want to put it in cocoa.

Wet: The moment it goes on there a harsh alcohol-y smell that's almost exactly like Amaretto, but it smooths and fades quickly, into an almost powdery scent. Less butterscotch. Another warm and sweet scent, but not overpoweringly so. I think I detect the nuts in there once the Amaretto fades, but subtle. There's a sort of perfumey touch in there.

Dry: Rich and warm, sophisticated. A touch of spice without the bite of clove from Jack. A sort of floral scent emerges.

Notes Reminds me of walking into a New Age store - the good bits of the random incense smells without the harsh bits. Cat a bit weirded out, but keeps sniffing. After a few minutes I'm getting the Amaretto back again, but not harsh. I like this one a lot, moreso than Jack.
