The tower defense can be completely avoided other than that one mandatory segment! This pleases me - not because I HATE den defense, but because there's so many other things I want to do that are so much more fun. I spend an inordinate amount of time ziplining and seeking out female assassins to recruit.

Memory Block 4 has a particularly pleasing sequence in it... no spoilers, but I anticipate you will enjoy.
