Yup. I make fun of bad writing from all sorts of authors, but I also know that often other readers either don't see the flaws or they're willing to overlook them. Hell, I can't stand Jacqueline Carey's or Anne Bishop's books, but people I know whose opinions I trust* love them to death. Sometimes in that train-wrecky way, but still! XD
