Her control seemed only to be an advantage in training, because she could lord it over Naruto. She may yet come into her own in the new story arc, since she's decided to specialize as a medical nin and is training under Tsunade, one of the best, but although she's done some good stuff so far, she hasn't done any spectacular stuff that's the equivalent of the guys' antics.
