When I first read the four-years-on chapters, I noticed that Light looked somehow older, but wasn't quite sure why, and further comparison revealed the jawline thing - didn't notice the hair and forehead until I was doing this, and I'm not entirely sure that the slightly-thinning hair isn't a function of Obata's style evolving, but it's certainly a natural consequence of aging and works that way.
