Migraine testing

I've been off of caffeine for a while now. After the ten days or so of withdrawal, no migraine except for one instance I'll get to in a minute. I've had headaches, but they're real headaches and not the ones that turn into migraines. My head feels better if I rub it, and Advil reduces or eliminates it.

Last weekend, I decided that as I'd replaced my Diet Dr Pepper habit with a lemonade habit, and as the lemonade had more calories than the Diet Dr Peppr, I should find a substitute. So I got a couple of no-cal lemonade drink powder things and some Diet Sprite. I had two glasses of lemonade and half a Diet Sprite.

And woke up the next morning with a migraine. Huh. Perhaps it's not caffeine, or not caffeine alone, but artificial sweeteners. They reportedly trigger migraines in some people. And I'd pretty much gone off them at the same time I'd gone off caffeine because the only drinks I had with artificial sweeteners were the ones with caffeine.

No more artificial sweeteners for the rest of the week, no other migraines.

Today is another test. I am drinking one Coke. We shall see if the caffeine gives me a migraine or not.

Wish me luck!
