Every time I hear anything about Avatar I end up frothing with rage. The series was so good and the film sounds like it's going to be awful.

My sister's kids love the cartoon series, and I was excited that it was there for them to watch. And now they're going to be clamoring to see the movie, I would bet ... this thing is so damn sad.

People do not understand how important it is for kids to see that heroes come in all colors. And as far as the money goes, this franchise was doing perfectly well with its brown-skinned protagonists, thank you very much. I had tons of stuff to choose from in buying our niece and nephew gifts, so someone certainly thinks the original kids sell. The casting has no justification that works.
