The convention AnimeFest here in Dallas-Fort Worth over Labor Day is running a comic strip, doujinshi and original manga short story contest, and I thought that some of you would be interested in knowing about it. You do not have to attend AnimeFest to enter. Deadline July 15th.

Oh yes, they also have an annual AMV contest, and I KNOW that some of you who read me journal are avid vidders, whether anime or otherwise, and having inside info - i.e., I know one of the judges - they often have dismal, dire entries and would LOVE to see some good anime music videos, so I highly encourage you to either enter it, or pass this on to your friends who do anime vidding because we'd all love to see some really good competition.
