We have a food processor - a very good one. It sits in its box in the pantry and comes out maybe once a year! Unless I have a huge amount of stuff to chop/cut, a knife is so much simpler and leaves so much less to wash ... .
I've been grating my fingers too much on the cheese grater, and I have RSI in my wrist, so kneading/mixing/chopping motions, when indulged in for too long, are exquisitely painful. :D
Cheese graters are evil. I remember leaving the 6-yr-old Young Lady with my mom-in-law one time, and we came home to discover that Grandma had let her grate cheese. Nothing terrible had happened, but I remember that instant of Sheer Horror when I assumed that it had.
