Life reflects fandom; fandom reflects life.

I'm reading this biography of Antonio Panizzi, and all of the idiotic controversies he endured as Keeper of the Printed Books and Principal Librarian of the British Museum, and I cannot help translating most of them into fandom_wank posts in my head. (Or otf_wank posts, maybe; I'm not sure cataloging qualifies as a fandom except in my prof's subject cataloging class.)
