As someone who just went to China last summer and saw both the Terracotta Warriors and the Forbidden City, I am happy to say I am pleased with the replicas, as seen through your photos. :)
I'll have to upload my pics and link ya to them soon, so your readers can compare. But really, I am shocked at how gorgeous everything looks. I'm glad you stopped to see it! :)

Just quick note about the Terracotta warriors- They were also exquisitely painted, but after being uncovered the paint was destroyed and as a result, only a small fraction of the warriors have been dug up thus far. They're waiting until better technology to finish the excavation. Also, it amuses me to no end that the site was discovered on accident while a village was digging a well, and the guy who discovered it got approximately $30USD (since the government owns the land) and currently sells photobooks/postcards for a living. He was signing copies when I was there. :P
