telophase | (no subject)

I actually got an idea for an essay on characterization in manga, which uses a few panels of Chapter 59 from Death Note. No worries, no spoilers; they're just intro panels for the new characters and don't have any plot in them. After I came home from life drawing class, I spent some time drawing happy little lines all over a few panels, although I'd much rather sleep than write at the moment, so I zipped 'em up and mailed 'em to myself with the intention of maybe getting some work done on it at lunch and during the hour I spend at the Ref desk on Friday.

So be on the lookout, in the next couple of days, and if you think of anything you think is significant about Mello and Near's panels in chapter 59, let me know.
